Filter Media

Filter media is the general term that describes the filter components that remove undesirable particulate or organic matter from metal finishing solutions. The type of filter media used depends on the filtration system. When requesting a quote for replacement filter media, please include the following information:

  • Type of media – cartridges (string wound, melt blown, pleated, carbon), filter bags, filter papers, etc.
  • Dimensions – all available such as hole size, length, diameter, etc.
  • Micron rating – Example 1 micron recommended for electroless nickel
  • For filter bags with a ring – type of ring material (plastic, galvanized steel, stainless steel)
  • For filter bags – single handle, double handle or no handle
  • Quantity required

  • Diameter & Length – standard and custom dimensions available to fill all applications

Filter Paper

  • Filter paper to fit Mefiag, Slim-Line and other plate filter systems
  • Mefiag Standard Paper Sizes – 8″, 12″, 14″, 19″ & 22″
  • Mefiag Standard Paper Micron – 10 & 50
